Featuring Destiny (fka Choozey, MTL @destiny.des.choix), stepping into a new era while carrying the pulse of her roots, alongside 9MAGICFOREVER1 (CHICAGO, @9magicforever1)whose cosmic-leaning sets bend rules and move bodies. Together, they’ll weave an electrifying journey built for the floor.

Strangewaves has always believed music is more than sound: it’s a threshold for community, risk, and connection. This night is no exception!

Ciel is renowned as one of the most innovative artists in electronic music. Born in Xi’an, China and based in Toronto, her acclaimed discography of solo and collaborative releases on prestige labels (!K7, NAFF, Peach Discs, etc) includes her 2023 debut LP Homesick, which she toured live internationally in 2024. Celebrated for her adventurous, protean DJing style, Ciel has played venues including fabric, Robert Johnson, Smartbar, Berghain Panorama Bar and Nowadays, and at beloved festivals such as Draaimolen, Dimensions and MUTEK.

She's also an outspoken advocate for equity and social justice in electronic music, values that are inextricable from her work as a producer, DJ, label boss (Parallel Minds) and radio host (Rinse FM).

Hiroki is a DJ and producer from Toronto who draws inspiration from countless hours spent dancing and lurking in clubs. Hiroki’s selections include dub, minimal, and leftfield techno oddities with unconventional textures. Leaning into groove and just the right amount of psychedelia, Hiroki creates atmosphere that keeps the floor bouncing.

Dj Miss is a Tkaronto-based DJ. Behind the decks, Dj Miss’ musical selections are wide-ranging. She loves cutie house grooves, pinballing prog, wriggling bass mutations, percussive club tracks, hypnotic downtempo, and emotional oddities. miss also runs the monthly Seesaw mix series, which features up-and-coming local guests.
