A Renaissance man for the Digital Age, Cadence Weapon is a rapper, producer, DJ, and author with a list of accomplishments and credits so long — from receiving industry accolades for his music to earning awards for critiquing that same industry in his writing — you might wonder what more there is for him to do. Even so, Fall 2025 finds the Polaris Music Prize winner with a new frame of mind and yet more on the go.

On the dancefloor, Cadence Weapon fuses his hip-hop lyricism, musical nerdiness, and deep dig-otry with undeniable and (un)shakeable groove. His upcoming book, Ways of Listening, reflects his own music discovery process for the contemporary music lover, in the age of digital streaming and algorithmic systems.
